Jay North has worked in the organic farming and gardening business for over thirty years; he is a recognized expert in the organic growing and marketing industries. From the 1970s to 1990s he and his late wife Pamela pioneered the Edible Flower business, and were dubbed "the edible flower children" by world renowned food writer Emily Tolle.

Jay has written and self published four books on such topics as: organic growing, organic produce marketing, and cooking with edible flowers. Additionally, Jay is completing three more manuscripts which gardening enthusiasts will enjoy.

Mr. North has been featured in People Magazine, New York Times, Los Angles Times, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, The New Yorker, and thousands of other publications. Moreover, Jay has appeared on the "Today Show," "Good Morning America," "NBC Nightly News," "World News Sunday Magazine" and hundreds of other TV and radio talk shows voicing informed opinions on edible flowers and organic farms.

Currently Jay is weekly/monthly columnist in Organic Family Magazine, Small Farm, Acers USA, The Garden Diet, Eat Organic, Dreams Alive Magazine, California Farm Management, The Ventura Reporter and Ojai Valley Voice.

He has traveled nationwide to teach edible flower cookery to world renowned chef's at some of the best four, five and six star hotels and resorts in the world including The Weston chain, Hiltons, Hyatt's and Marriott Hotels.

Today Jay works as an organic growing and marketing consultant, has his own organic gardening and landscaping business, lectures at food and gardening events across the U.S., and most importantly writes weekly and monthly columns on organic gardening issues your readers will enjoy.
